They're nowadays a vestigial type of force. One that doesn't matter and is instead just there because of the occasional emergency. Even then they don't do much. They don't have much say over Pokemon training, nor the ethics of Pokemon trainers, and can only interfere with laws that are broken, even then those laws are rather lax.
Either the world is really crime-free or the system is corrupt. Traffickers, Nuzlockers, borderline criminal gangs ala Galactic. They must exist and left untouched for a reason, and that is either because of the impotency of either laws, the system, or the people.
Because the question is whether or not society wants those types of things gone. I mean, everyone in Gotham must hate the Joker, but why haven't they dealt with him?

So about the little issue I came across... I just learned earlier that "Helena" and "Verbena," the names given to Concordia and Anthea in the Japanese version of the anime, are actually their real names in the games also, meaning Ghetsis probably forced them to adopt the names we all know them by.
That much I can manage around. The thing is, I already have another character completely unrelated to them named Helena, so the idea of them stopping using their identities from the cult of Team Plasma could cause confusion. I thought about assuming that Anthea and Concordia could be their true names while "Goddess of Peace" and "Goddess of Love" were simply an element of Team Plasma omitted from the Western versions, but "Anthea" and "Concordia" actually directly reference the Goddess names.
I guess I could have Concordia just use "Helen" instead of "Helena," but eh, I don't know. I have plenty of time to figure it out.

I remember thinking about how it could be a pretty good reference for stuff but that was before I got into writing pokemon fanfiction and by the time I finally started I had completely forgotten about it.
I don't put too much focus into the pokemon themselves though because I'm more interested in the humans anyway though, so it doesn't matter too much I guess.
It is an interesting project I think, regardless of how much use it is to me. Some of the entries I read seemed pretty well thought out, so if someone needed info on the stuff I would definitely recommend using it even just to get a loose idea of what they need to know.

Having trouble writing a murder/horror mystery in the middle of my romance/drama-centric story.
