The reason people like it so much is because no one has bothered to even TRY to make another series with the magical academy setting. Seriously, the best you have are like one or two books that are fairly short and don't carry on in a series.

Eh, it's worldbuilding and self consistency is pretty shoddy, but it's a fairly solid tale written in a good manner.

Why it's so insanely popular is a mystery, sure, but not as bad as anon is trying to make it out to be.

Why does pokemon need to change to be more adult theme when the anime sucks anyway?
The only logical reason is that you would like to fap to it, since you said nothing about actually changing the story, just producing more fap fuel than already exists.

Really? I've often found the opposite - people like it because of characters and the like, but acknowledge that the setting falls apart when you begin to consider how it works. Rowling did a good job in making an engaging world, but utterly failed at making a sturfy one.

The whole reason the show exists is to market the game towards children. A lot of us on this board are adults and don't really get behind the show now because we see all of its flaws. So I can understand why some of us would want a more adult themes pokemon, but if they made it more adult then they would no longer be able to bring in the newer generations of children into the series.

That's partly why it has such a large audience, the kids get the books an then through either talking about it or the parents reading it to them get into I as well and the. They tell their coworkers and friends and soon everyone knows about it an the movies really brought in a lot of people as well.
