Hilbert and Calem are the only ones close to "manly" because they're the only ones who aren't about twelve years old other than Nate, who while practical, looks pretty fucking silly.
Really, all the protag designs look just fine. I really don't see how any of them look even close to androgynous or girly. Hilbert, Nate, and Calem are my favorites.
