Why is Marill a Water/Fairy type? I mean, I like it, but I don't understand why is a Fairy now. I think I missed something about its concept or something like that... Por qué es Tipo-Hada?

Azumarill is a bunny. Moon rabbits are magical japanese creatures with strange powers, and are also said to have powers related to water.

That wasn't what I meant. It exudes a mystical sense. True, we haven't exactly been given that as a qualifier of the type, but I think it's still possible given that Gardevoir is more dignified than what you seem to suggest.

The fact that Fairy exists now means that we must rethink Psychic being what that junk is lumped into. Why is Gardevoir both then? The same argument I once used for Abra being reclassed: It has both ESP related powers AND magic. Yes, not all Psychic have powers beyond that of their mind. Trust me, I checked. Gardevoir was one such poke that had powers beyond that of the mind.

Until we know what Gamefreak is using as a basis for 'Fairy' you can't make such judgements

Hell Azumarill and Wigglytuff don't fit that theory at all

If anything so far it seems Fairy is going to cover moon-themed and cute/caring pokemon

Well, in my musings, it pretty much meant the pokemon having any abilities beyond what their type would indicate. I would consider some of what Abra and co are associated to be beyond mind powers, and Gardevoir also does. This led to me having to include junk like Vulpix, though.

We don't know healing to be a qualifier unless you're talking about rumors. I have ignored such things. As for moon, I would not think the Nidos to be Fairy, although I might consider the likes of Solrock and Lunatone. I don't think this is the sole qualifier, though. I think more will be retyped than that.

I exempted the matter that most pokes can learn moves outside their type since I knew to include that would be fruitless. I went with the abilities the pokes are DESCRIBED as having. True, I may not have anticipated what this would mean for the legends at least.

Alternatively, they wanted a Physical Water/Fairy Pokemon for gameplay reasons.

Last option would be that a lot of its moves were re-typed to Fairy, so they thought it would make sense to change the type too.

Well, the moon has long been a symbol of mystical powers, and pokemon is no different. As for cute, there are a flipton of pokes that can be said to be "cute", mostly base forms. However, among the pokes we know for Fairy, the common attribute they share is that they STAY cute in their evo line, or at least take on a non-threatening appearance. There would still be a lot of pokes based on this criteria.

It is because Marill has a tail, and since we don't know if fairies have tails or not we would be selfish to not allow it to be Fairy type...
Also, it gives us an unsolvable mystery that we will continue to wonder about and continue to try and solve.

The only official things we know about Fairy are.
-Jigglypuff, Marill & Gardevoir are /Fairy
-Sylveon & Flabébé are pure Fairy
-It's type chart color is light pink
-Fairy Wind & Moonblast are Fairy attacks.
-Fairy type attacks are strong against Dragon type Pokémon.

That's all we know, literally all we know, the moon has also been assiociated with Dark, Psychic & Rock types also.
