They really shot themselves in the foot, making the best Flying type Pokemon ever the first one you encounter. Every single bird based Pokemon after it just looks terrible compared.

I agree with OP.
Pigeot has always been my favorite region bird.

But those piss poor stats..... I cringe.

At least it somewhat useful in-game gen1
