fedora is a classy headgear suited for being used alongside a suit, giving an elegant appearance. However, most people tend to wear it while not being properly dressed, such as with a simple t-shirt, and even not taking it off in-doors (something nobody should do) with hopes of looking more elegant, but because of this failure at being classy with the minimal effort, wearing a fedora is now an epitome of pretentiousness and frown upon in the circles of good taste and by extension some sites of the internet. It doesn't help that the ones that wear fedoras this badly as commonly edgy teenagers, autistic people or simply people with USI syndrome
