What part of time travel don't you understand? If Grovyle sent him back to the future alone Dusknoir could just go back, even worse, he could take some time to rest then get troops and then appear ahead of them.

He could have, I dunno, told you before hand. Before Sky it was blind guess work. Even though the scene is poop to me (the scene right before it however is a whole different story) we did get a fantastic special episode out of it, so worth it in the long run

Still the best plot Pokemon has ever had except maybe for Gates, opinions seem pretty split whether it's story/characters were better than Explorers's Which is like bragging about being the tallest man in Lilliput. Still, it wasn't really bad, I'll take it

I haven't played gates but I am pretty reluctant to spend money on a game that seems like a step down from Sky.

No it wasn't, it was just as OP says, everyone with half a brain should've known Grovyle was keeping Dusknoir in the future, Sky just showed how it happened.

Speak for yourself, it was the PMD game (Rescue Team's story sounds bland as fuck, but don't quote me on it, I've not played it) where I ever gave a damn for the characters. Sky's story was such a let down after playing Gates which wasn't even that good a story to begin with.

To the OP: this was the reason why Grovyle went into the future along with Dusknoir.
Moreover, Grovyle would've made a sacrifice either way. He was destined to fade away once the future was changed.
What you should be complaining about is the fact that Dialga doesn't bring him back, or doesn't at least allow the player to ask him to. It's a nit-picky complaint, I suppose.

You could argue that having them 'disappear' once the future was changed is the same as having them killed, though.

Rescue Team has almost no story (and it's pretty silly) and it's a chore to play. Explorers has bland characters but an awesome time travel plot that gets better on the second half of the game.

The time travel plot was good at best, but not worth sitting through the Wigglytuff guild crap to get to it first.

I can appreciate what they done with the plot from the time-travel bit to the end, but if the characters are bland (The partner had no excuse to be that boring considering, unlike the Gates partner, is with you ALL the time with barely anyone else to share attention with), I won't care about them and as a result, I can't get emotionally invested in the story.

Or maybe I'm being too harsh since I excepted the plot to be great after somewhat enjoying Gates's story to a degree (the repeat-everything dialogue can fuck off though) and hearing how amazing the Explorer's plot apparently was, I can't help but be let down

I also posted earlier in the thread when someone actually explained what I missed. You could've easily told me I misread the OP's post like I requested, but you chose to respond like a 13 year old instead.

Sure, they weren't the best games and they were cheesy and silly but they were amusing and even kind of heart touching at times. Not to mention the art and music were beautiful

I haven't played Labyrinth though, heard it was easily the weakest out of the series.
