I've tried about 4 times now to play this game,but I never know what level to be,grind to little and I'll be killed by the enemies,grind too much and I'll get hungry and die,whats a good level scaling guide

dont be fooled by the fact of it being a pokemon game
this is actually a hard game
it actually requires thought to play and win
you are losing because you arent thinking hard enough
its probably up there in my favorite of the pokemon games

I completed the game without grinding a single time (unless you consider doing mission grinding, which it isn't) with me as Shinx and partner as Bulbasaur. I don't really see why you'd need to grind in this game since the level scaling is pretty good. Except for the first part of the final dungeon, the Porygons with discharge killed me so many times.

thats one of the reasons why its such a good game
you dont need to grind
and even if you do call the missions that are seperate to the story grinding
even then, they did a bloody good job of making grinding seem less like grinding in comparison to all the other turn based games

Gotta use tactics, man.
Seeds, Orbs, throw items, whatever. Just use everything you can get your hands on to overcome your disadvantage.

seeds are your best friend
it's generally a good idea to clear out rooms of smaller dungeons for items
some moves work differently in this game and they can really really help you out, like smokescreen
