I kind of doubt they won't get a connection between a DS and 3DS game working, seeing as they've already managed to do so with Dream Radar.

But if they somehow goof, I suppose I'm autismal enough to put lots of time into breeding.

Dream Radar was just a Mystery Gift program, like when you get an event Pokemon from Gamestop. You can't transfer Pokemon to it. It doesn't link with the games that way.

You got a fresh start with Black and White. The only reason you should have been transferring Pokemon over is the ones that you couldn't find like starters and certain Legendary Pokemon.

Breaking connectivity would be beyond fucking stupid of Gamefreak to do; people were angry when it happened between II and III, and they'll be angry now if it occurs again. If there's a way to make it work (and since they didn't give a definitive "no", I'd imagine there's some means or exploit they can use), they need to find and implement it.

Having trouble doesn't mean it's too hard, they don't want to try, and they're gonna just give up. They just have to find a workaround. They haven't even said what they have trouble with. It might just be conflicts like Gen 4 and Gen 5's Items and they simply removed the ability to transfer items to Gen 5.

I would be upset since I have a whole lot of Pokemon I want to keep on transferring over to the newest games (Shinies, Events, etc.). I think I'd get over it if the 3DS wasn't hacked for a good year or two and therefore made all the Pokemon in X & Y legitimate. It would separate the boys from the men.
