I remember there was this kid in my HS that was schizophrenic and really enjoyed pokemon and for some reason hated digimon.
Apparently he flipped shit whenever people said pokemon weren't real.
This guy was in my gym class and in another bullshit class and he was a genuinely cool dude who obviously had some problems, that's all.
One time one of my friends told me how he had just gone up to that guy in the restroom and told him pokemon weren't real and how digimon was clearly superior. Poor guy really lost his shit.
After that I really didn't talk to my friend because he was clearly an asshole. I ran into him at a club last week and man that shit still makes me mad.

Not really, because I try not to be so open about it. Not everyone likes pokemon and I don't try to make others uncomfortable by talking about it. Unless I meet someone who's interested in Pokemon as well, I steer clear of speaking up. But if someone happens to make fun of me for it, I just ignore them or calmly tell them they're being rude.
