Can some one fucking explain this to me? I mean seriously now theyre saying I cant remove an hm move because I can get stranded in an area with out it, but if I can just have my pokemon relearn it then why the fuck does it matter? And its not like I can release a pokemon outside of the pc box anyways.

HMs are fucking retarded. They should allow you to use Pokemon's inherent abilities like Fly, or Surf or fucking Teleport on the map right away. Just make it so you unlock those moves as you get medals.

I hope they get phased out completely in X/Y, having them not required for the plot in BW was a great step forward. Having to carry one or two HM slaves put a real shitter on your team later on when other trainers actually have 6 fighting pokes.

Key items would be good to take their place, the insistence that HMs makes you more reliant on your pokémon is nice, but is usually more of an annoyance than a bonding exercise.

One solution that could work is to replace them with Field Moves a la Pokémon Ranger...but I have a feeling it'll be mostly replace with Riding Pokémon, like the, "Riding on a Rhyhorn to cross rocky terrain and smash boulders," stuff.

Its been forever since I played Gen 4 and 5 but I'm pretty sure you can't deposit HMs in the PC or attach them to Pokemon. Could be wrong though.

It is a left over feature from when bag space was limited so HM's could be deposited. Therefore it would have been very possible to have become stranded somewhere.
