So, I live in Toronto; there's an area of Toronto called Kensington Market. It's a small, artistic, and relatively poor neighborhood where a lot of cool shit goes down.
A short while ago, a few friends I know were hanging out in that general area, one of them on a longboard, when a man came up to them, and happily greeted them. He hung around them for a while, trying to socialize with them, and they were friendly enough to abide. He asked them questions like "How are you guys?", "That longboard looks fun! Do you like longboarding?" and "Can I try your longboard?". So, they let him try the longboard.
They then physically aided him as he attempted to longboard, propping his arms up on his shoulders as he shakily road the board along the street. He had very poor balance on the board and never ended up getting the hang of it.
After a decently long duration of time (which was either 10 or 30 minutes, I can't remember exactly), he ended up giving up after repeated failures to ride the board, even with assistance. He then very enthusiastically thanked the group of guys, and left for the screening of his film at a small theater in Kensington Market.
That man was Tommy Wiseau.
