Protect should be able to block any effect/damage when used And some attacks effects should still be counted even if they miss.

For example? The Flamecharge should add your speed even if it not hits the foe. The Leaf storm should decrease the stats of the user.

Actualy almost all powerful attacks looks like shit like now. Surf in 5th gen is "Washy washy legs" Earthquake is "Dancing pebbles" Make them a little longer!

a 75 BP move would have an effective power of 107.5, far too high for something normally so weak. I mean that's stronger than EARTHQUAKE.

So true. Especially considering the other type that will supposedly have SE attacks against them is Steel. Steel is already the most used type despite being almost worthless offensively. Now their STAB has an actual application.
