Why on Pokearth wouldn't you want to know what all the Gen VI Pokémon look like before playing the game? Are you not at least interested in their base speed stats and if they need max hap. to evolve? Do you enjoy getting confused by fucking Zubat and Golbat? Do you like to wait 25+ levels before your fucking Pichu evolves?

Aside from evolution info, why else is this other stuff needed to be enjoyable?

why the fuck would I care about this for maingame?

I care about stats and competitve shit afterwards, maingame I want to be surprised and and shit. Post-game is when the real shit starts. If I'm stuck on some shit I'll just peek or look up a guide or some shit, and everyone is most likely gonna be looking up shit at the same time since people will most likely have it a week early with leaks and won't cover everything in a week before release.

Why is this even a question?

Couldn't agree more. I'm just going to be in my little corner playing the maingame for a while, when I finish I'll come back to /vp/ and that's when the real game starts. I'm in until October, by then there should still be a chunk of Pokémon not known and hopefully no dex revealing leaks come before then, ntm possibly a few gym leaders, possibly E4 & Champion that might not be known. I was going to be in until October CoroCoro leaks but the games might beat the leaks on 10/12/13. So I'll avoid them until a single playthrough. Once I beat the Champion the first time all bets are off and all fan sites will be up.

No. Speed is not nearly as important in-game as it is in a more competitive environment, and it's not as if knowing the speeds of every Pokemon is going to make my Pokemon faster or something.
