pokemon.com says that X and Y come out on the 12th of October worldwide excluding some countries.
What countries?

Not NK, South Korea obviously has it.

Its a case of Nintendo covering thier backs legally. You can't say worldwide with disclaiming by saying "excluding some countries", otherwise you could create a legal shitstorm with disconnected areas in the world.

Basically, almost all the major countries of the world will get it October 12th, and that includes New Zealand.

Us in the American Continent will be enjoying it by October 12th. Not sure about South America, but important stores will probably get it shipped as well by October 12th - 15th. Japan will probably end up getting it by October 10th, and god knows about the Europe.
