I know this is a pokemon board, but you guys are actually more likely to know about this shit than most of /v/ so...

I love pokemon but I also fucking love the playstation digimon games, I had 1 and 3 and they were amazing. Recently heard about this game which is basically meant to be DW1+. Apparently it came out on PSP too, but was never localised.

Has anyone played it? What are your thoughts on it and other digimon games? And what do you think the chances are that the 3DS version will be localised, considering it sells a lot better than the PSP?

No idea what you're talking about, but Digimon World and Digimon World 2003 are awesome games. I really enjoyed 2003 but never managed to beat the final guy with his 3x100 Digimons. I only had 3x70~80.

There was this game called digimon world re:digitize for the PSP in Japan which was based around the gameplay style of digimon world 1. It is getting an enhanced port to the 3DS this year.

They kept a lot of the mechanics and stuff pretty true to the original. There is some form of card collection but I didn't really dabble with it when I played. Will probably wait on the fan translation before I play it again.

It will, I'm certain of it. Nick is re-airing Adventure right now (and I am watching it with the nostalgia of a thousand suns), and will be airing the new season soon.

I am so hopeful ;_;

Anyway, I recently tried to beat DW1... gave up after a while, I have better games to get through before college starts.

Is that a 3ds screenshot? I tried ''playing'' the ds games but the graphics were a let down. which usually isn't the case for me. I don't care about graphics it just didn't look enjoyable.

The 3ds game looks good! You're not playing as a little kid, and there's so much detail.

Digimon Dawk and Dusk were pretty good games. I like any monster capturing game, with evolutions and progression.

If this came out in the EU, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. The 3DS needs more long RPGs.

/v/ has had a couple of generals for this game actually.
It looks really really neat. There's a fan-translation patch going on for the PSP version that's almost done, but I really believe the 3DS version will be localized at some point, so I'm gonna hold out for that.
Plus it's gonna have a fuckton of new content including the whole story scenario with the girl in the open hoodie wearing nothing but a bra.

Well that's not true at all, it's been ten years since she (or he, in some dubs) had a major appearance in the anime.

Tamers is actually really good, but Guilmon's voice makes me want to rip my ears off. There's a part in the show, I think it was right when he digivolved into Growlmon for the first time, he had a different voice, which was 10 times better
