Ok, so let' have another Fairy thread. What Pokemon do you think will become Fairy types, what Pokemon do you want to become Fairy-types regardless of how likely/unlikely it is, and what do you think would be a good idea for a Fairy-Type Pokemon or move.

Pic sorta related, we already know Jigglypuff is a fairy-type.

Marill kind of opens up a can of worms for Pokemon that might get re-typed. I had no clue they would change Marill to Fairy type

Azumarill and Wigglytuff are definites since Jigglypuff and Marill are Fairy-Type. I don't know about Igglybuff but I hope Azurill will be Fairy-Type since it would make more sense than a normal type evolving into a water type. I The Clefairy line seems obvious to me, because, well, it's name is Clefairy. I kind of wish Jigglypuff wasn't a fairy-type because I don't think we need to make both Jigglypuff and Clefairy Normal/Fairy Types, and I doubt Clefairy is going to stay as mono normal. I don't think Ralts or Kirlia will change since Gallade will probably still be Psychic/Fighting.

One unlikely Pokemon that I'm not sure if I want is Gengar. It would support the Gengar is Clefable's Shadow Theory, which would be neat and the only thing that really supports Gengar being a Fairy Type, which I honestly doubt. Still, if Gengar were to be Ghost/Fairy, and it has Levitate, that 4-type resistance is hard to resist.

I'm assuming it will be dual typed for the same reason as Jigglypuff. It's a pink blob but it's not on the same level of pure Fairy inspiration as Clefairy is.

I don't think it's about wanting it to be rather than it's probably what it's going to be if it's Fairy at all, since they don't seem like they'll change the current types (just add fairy to monotypes)

With BW2 there was a definite drive early on to give people access to a lot of old gen fan favorites like Mareep and Riolu and Psyduck.

The type change gives Marill more distinction from other pickahu variations and keeps it in the public eye.

I'm hoping Dunsparce is revealed as a Fairy type and given an evolution myself.

Probably won't matter unless they remake Gold and Silver again. Which won't happen for quite a while, if ever.
And Clefairy will probably be Normal/Fairy, so it still works as the design for a Normal-type gym.

I think Fairy type would be too much for Whimsicott or vulpix/ninetails. Not everything cute will be fairy type.

The retyping is going to open up a can of worms for some of the older generations.

There's already some blurriness between dark/poison/ghost and fairy is going to complicate a lot of normal types.

Legends tell of a leak that stated that Fairy was SE on Dark and not resisted by Ghost. If the legends are true, then Eelektross will become the only Pokemon without a weakness (under normal conditions).

It's based on a yokai, and these kind of things can count as fairies. Also it's in the fairy egg group if that counts for anything

Additionally the PokeBeach leak listed Mawile so it makes sense to assume it will get Fairy type.
