They'll never be back in the days when a video game was a new idea, when cutting edge graphics were how similar to a cartoon you could look, when ideas were new, when every trope in the book wasn't already firmly planted in their minds filling them full of expectations to go unrealized or simply understood before they happened.
That'll never happen again for the history of the human race. People will never carry a brick around in their pocket and hold it juuuust right to see the Nintendo symbol pop up with a little chime and nothing more.
Hipsters say shit like "back in my day all we needed was four shades of green," but it was yellow and it really was all we needed. People won't understand that because they weren't there. We were, and that's so spectacular. Even though they are the same as us, they will never experience that ten years from now, it's the same for us.
