I'm glad they did. Look back to BW/BW2. The animations were good, but there were so pixelated it became an eyesore for me. At points I returned to Gen IV just to see normal sprites again.

X/Y was just a general over-hype of crazy, trying to process all the information in the trailer and just over-hyping and headcannoning for the next few days between my buddies. But Amie? I fangasmed the fuck out over snorlax being pettable. I had to literly leave the room to calm down. I now cannot wait for X/Y to come out. I have geniune things in my life to look forward to, like going to university, leaving home, meeting friends ect, and X/Y is the second most hyped thing on that list.

The only few faggots who complained used OPs arguments "durr these arent colors" and I knew they would shut up and get hyped after some time. Because they just didn't get how big this step was for the series at first.
