Hey guys I need advise and I know this is the place to get it

I just started EV training in HG and i have a full EV trained Charizard, my first EV trained pokemon.
I want to know what pokemon would be best for a "Perfect" team in HG (for online of course). Like Moveset/Item/nature wise, and what pokemon/nature would be best for a Choice scarf sweeper esque pokemon.

I only have Charizard so far for my team

Competitive gen 4? its pretty much dead but you're gonna need a spinner. I recommend starmie since it kicks but all day.

Scizor is a great addition but watch out for pesky heatrans. Jolteon and gyarados are also great additions. Metagross or mamoswine are good for taking care of your heatran and dragon problems.

Well, you're going to need four spinners, and a booster/sub passer. Something like Scizor should work just fine.

If you really want it to work well, make Scizor a sweeper while you're at it.

Then replace the spinners with dragons.

And drop Charizard for something good.

See OP, the problem is that in order to use Charizard, you have to design an entire team around Charizard, meaning that it is going to be inherently inferior to any team dedicated solely to winning using pokes that are actually good. We don't hate Charizard, but you have to understand that almost every team carries stealth rock and stone edge, especially in gen IV.

The problem is also that of all the special sweepers usable in Gen IV he picked Charizard.

Why don't you play some Showdown so you can get an idea of what pokemon you want before you commit to EV training them?

Well basically you want a balanced and synergistic team.
You need a pokemon that can sweep. That's a pokemon that is very fast and has very strong Atk/Sp.Atk and can OHKO a bunch of opponent's pokemon. You'll see a lot of Salamence playing this role.
It's good to have one dedicated sweeper. This is the pokemon that is often holding the Choice item. Choice Specs/Band are for fast pokemon that need a bit of an attack boost. Scarf is for pokemon that don't really need the attack boost (like Salamence, who has access to moxie, doesn't really need it. Gets more use out of the scarf). And in addition to that dedicated sweeper it's good to have other pokemon who have the potential to sweep.

I recommend reading Smogon's tier analysis pages to find out how each one plays, then going through the list of pokemon in each tier to see which one looks like the most fun to you. (I enjoy NU because of Pinsir and Ampharos. I've seen a few Charizard sets pulled off their as well).
After that it's all trial and error. Try to make a balanced team. Look for a Special and physical sweeper, a special and physical wall, a lead, and a mixed attacker. Find out what's causing you the most problems, then find something that counters it and replace it with your most useless mon.

Rinse, repeat, enjoy

Oh and make sure the moves you use to attack have good type coverage.
Now you will need support pokemon. They do one of these jobs:
Stall & Wall & Disable
Hazards
Boost and Baton pass
Heal

Having good walls that can disable your opponents pokemon is essential. Toxic is used to prevent enemy walls from sticking around too long, Burn really fucks up physical sweepers.

get your charizard, grab a starmie, a gilscor, a dragon, scizor, and another dragon type.
make sure gilscor has stealth rock and your starmie has rapid spin. The rest is up to you
