Smog, Doesn't effect Poison, Bug, & Steel type pokemon, it does damage every turn and lowers the accuracy of every pokemon besides the 3 mentioned.

Spooky Boogie, Causes random stat drops every turn, except to ghost, dark, psychic, bug, & fairy types, also all types of moves have a chance to flinch.

Also, make hail increase the defense of ice type pokemon by 50% and double the chances of an ice type move freezing an opponent. At least, add another pokemon that gets storm warning, ice needs some type of buff.

They're weak to water, ground, & rock, the former two being common attacking types and the third due to lolrocks cripple a lot of them. Plus most fire types have bad defensive stats and bad secondary typings the only two I can think of that are viable are Heatran & Torkoal

-not protects you from the weather for the one turn.
If they not change how protect works it should be just named Dodge.

-even if some attacks miss some stat changes SHOULD be included because attack WAS performed
For example Leafstorm, Flame charge, and some recoil attacks.

Recoil damage from attacks that don't hit doesn't make any sense, the reason the pokemon is taking recoil damage is because of how recklessly the user is attacking its opponent. That thing about stat changes from missed attacks makes sense though.

Regardless of the (reasonably sound) reasons to have night sun and rain exist to form the water/fire dichotomy.

Unless like, fairy gets boosts in the sun and fairy is a counterpart of dark no night.

I think protect is more like a block, the animation for it looks like a screen going up, the description for Feint says it hits though protect , it doesn't make sense to hit through a dodge. Also if the anime counts, when a pokemon uses protect it's just a box forming around them.

Or you could just attack it, Breloom isn't exactly fast even with EVs & Nature it only reaches 262 and its pretty frail, with it being weak to 5 types it can be easy to kill. Unless you're up against the defensive variant with Poison Heal.
I always switch to a pokemon that I can afford to have statused and then one that resists fighting moves

The problem with that is that Breloom likes to come in on tanks that he would otherwise threaten such as Jellecent, Ferrothorn, and Blissey. It basically preys on anyone using a good wall, which is part of the reason it comes up so often like this.

Sun has volcarona, venusaur, and maybe another chlorophyll sweeper. Plus they have the worst weather setter and the fire boost makes the team as a whole weaker to dragons.
