Hello, /vp/oreons.

I've never played the first gen games and since I want to try them, I got myself a copy of Blue a couple of days ago.

What would be a good team for Blue? My starter will be Squirtle.

so many ignorant faggots on this board. 1st gen is great to play. The glitches dont even show up unless you seek them out and the game plays totally fine.
People hate on it just because of all the people who say anything past gen 1 sucks. They are digging for reasons to say something is shitty.

after about 16 years they go bad i think and you can no longer save your game but if you got it online they usually replace the battery depends on where you bought it like if on ebay chances are its going to die soon

The Stadium games at dodo and dotrio mode seal the deal for me.

Oh trying to catch Chansey, Tauros, or Khangaskan? Just use the missigno glitch to catch them as it remembers your last pokemon.

Duping tms was the shit too.

Stat EXP is miles better than EV training. Both are grinding, but atleast with stat training I don't have to keep track of it. Oh and DVs aka IV's are only 0-15 instead of 0-31 like the later games.

I never really cared for IVs being 0-15 but it is better than having to get a pokemon that has the right nature, the right ability and good IV's in the later games.

What about sequence breaking? Transfer a lemonade/water from stadium 2 to your red/blue/yellow and you don't have to do the SS ANNe for a while.

Or transfer a hm slave to one and just get the badges.

I personally like Hypno cause you don't need to trade, and he's a psychic, Dragonite's another great (op) choice, I love Magneton for its defense, Beedrill's the only one with any sort of real Psychic coverage (twineedle), then, something else for some coverage or whatever.
