elp me to understand where people extoling the virtue of a blind run are coming from.
I played through gold, ruby and platinum "blind". Gold was amazing because I had never played a pokemon game before but playing through ruby, while fun, was just not the same. Platinum was a step up because I hadnt played a pokemon game in years but appart from that there wasnt much difference between it, heart gold and black and I get the feeling x and y will be the same. Not knowing pokemon, locations, spawn rates or events wont change that. Its the same as mmos, once you know them the magic of learning is gone. They are still fun but that magic of steping into the world with a new character is gone.
