Retcons which will not happen

Can't just drop them off at the Day Care Center, instead you have to search far and wide for the right incense to get your Pokémon in the mood.

They could introduce a male Kangaskhan, doesn't even need to be a counterpart species, just make the gender ratio anything less than 100% female.
That would also be an easy way to introduce the baby Kangaskhan as a new Pokemon.

Repeat above sentence.

I feel the same way about new evolutions. Just let Eevee evolve with the regular Leaf Stone, not the damn Forest Rock. How did that even work in BW?

Magmortar, Electivire, whatever the hell else could use an existing evolution stone but doesn't because "muh continuity". Everyone who would actually go back and point out that you couldn't do that in the original games? Literally an autist.

Luvdisc is so useless that Alomomola being its evolution made sense until the whole "only new Pokemon" thing was revealed about BW.
Not saying it should be retconned, but it should have been done in the first place.

I know it's supposed to encourage you to get with other players and whatnot, but evolution via trade should go or at least provide an alternative way for evolution.

And logically, how does it make sense? Gengar never existed until someone traded a Haunter?

Not to mention it's a temporary trade most of the time, you trade right so you can have your Alakazam/Machamp/Steelix/etc. back.

They would never change Gyarados into any kind of Dragon. It's based on a Japanese legend where a fish wanted to become a dragon. The fact it's a flying type shows how it never can become a true Dragon.

I feel like these can be easily retconned AND keep continuity. Just make more stones ex. Mossy stone for Leafeon, Ice stone for Glaceon, Charge stone for Magnezone and Probopass.

Magmortar and Electvire are idiotic, they should be able to evolve without trading. Or if they really want the whole "connect with friends" aspect, without the items.

I think it's more because the morons who like Electabuzz/Magmar over their evolutions would get assblasted if their pokeon evolved while they were distracted.

I think the reason some pokemon evolve when traded has something to do with it being compartmentalized as data when sent to the other person.

I mean - it fits with the Porygons - the disc it holds is digitized with the pokemon and when it comes out, it initiates evolution. As for Gengar, Alakazam and the others, it could be a matter of the process unlocking hidden potential in the DNA or something.

I think with Eevee, they could keep the whole evolution if next to random rock in snow/forest and create new evolution stones. That way GF isn't confined to having to create a new area each game, yet you can have Leafeon or Glaceon.

Sort of like what they did with Feebass when they did away with contests.
