I have always loved the Pokémon realm and now I find myself losing interest, fast. Is there a way to prevent myself from growing past Pokémon and remain a Pokéfan? Do you know other people who lost interest? How much of a hardcore fan are you and how old?

I was losing interest in Pokémon, but one day, 2 or 3 years ago, I watched that episode where Ash fought Tobias, and they praised Salamence so much for his speed and his strenght, that he started growing in me. I decided to restart my Emerald, because I had never finished that before because it was too similar to Ruby, and I picked Treeko for the first time. I enjoyed so much that game, and I started playing Pokémon again with passion.

Black hit me with full force and got me back to the fandom like never. After that I've played Platinum and Heartgold and then Black 2 and keep occasionally replaying the most recent games.

May I ask what you think might be the main reason you didn't get into BW?
There might be a way around it that would make the newer games more interesting to you.

2. Try to find something else to do untill X and Y come out.
3. Play pokemon X and Y and feel the inner fan being revived.

Losing interest happens mostly because you're doing the same thing over and over.
It's like eating pancakes everyday. At first you'll like it but as time progresses you'll start to crave for something else.

On the otherhand I can't get myself to play older games anymore due to having to grind pokes for an outcome I already know is gonna happen.
