No idea why, but Hearthome popped into my head first. It's adjacent to 208, 209 and 212. I can choose from:

Zubat, Psyduck, Machop, Ralts, Meditite, Roselia, Bidoof, Bibarel, Budew, Gastly, Chansey, Duskull, Starly, Staravia, Bonsly, Mime Jr., Marill, Kirlia, Kriketune, Dunsparce, Snubbull, Wooper, Quagsire, Buizel, Groagunk.

Those would be plenty sufficient to start an adventure, and in time I'd get a pokeradar, surf, fishing rod, and cartridges for the dongle method, adding even more to my options:

Psyduck, Golduck, Magikarp, Goldeen, Barboach, Gyarados, Whiscash, Smeargle, Tyrogue, Zangoose, Seviper, Vulpix, Tauros, Miltank, Seaking, Tentacool, Tentacruel, Shellos, Gastrodon, Remoraid, Octillery, Ekans, Grimer, Lotad, Lombre.

I think I'm gonna be fine.

I tought of goldenrod. I get bike at the very begining and daycare is right there. Also every next gym leader is just piece of cake after that fucking miltank. I would start with ditto i guess, because it seems cool.

First of all, I live in a freaking tree-house!

Second, I can be apprentice to Winona, which is great because flying type mastery is crucial. There's even a Kecleon in front of her gym, so I don't have to leave the town to get my first Pokemon.

To fill out my team, there are Oddish, Marill, Absol, and more Kecleon on Route 120. Plus Goldeen, Magikarp, and Barboach by fishing.

On Route 119, I'll be looking at Zigzagoon, Linoone, and Tropius. Add in Tentacool and Carvanha by fishing. (That's only considering Pokemon available in all three Hoenn games. And assuming I can't Surf yet.)

Oh, man. I'm gonna have the best life!
