I just realized that Hidden Power formula will have to change one way or another to include Fairy type as a possibility..

so even if they manage to make it possible to transfer our pokegend HP Ice Heatrans (at e3 Masuda said they encountered issues).. the HP likely won't be Ice anymore.

It would be as simple as assessing which type it would be by the old system during the transfer and changing the value to the appropriate counterpart in the new system. Hardly as gamebreaking as the IV change between Gens 2 and 3.

Easy fix. IVs could still determine the strength though, for Technician or whatever, and so that IVs are still somewhat relevant to Hidden Power.

On the note of Hidden Power, we need a physical version of it

It really seems as easy as that when people constantly talk about Hidden Power as the reason for no BC,

This is super simple.

Move HP Type and Power into its own bytes, like how nature was from gen 4 to 5. all 6th gen Pokemon have the type and power randomly generated at creation. all imported Pokemon from gen 5 have its HP power and type bytes set on transfer using its IVs.
