One thing I feel isn't discussed enough here, is how to build a team with good synergy. Now, I may have been playing since Red and Blue hit American shores, I am far from anything resembling an expert, so I come to you kind folks to help me, and others like myself who want to improve.

I would like to build a team around status effects, if that's at all viable in the current meta. I've seen that Liepard with Prankster is very useful in that regard. Not sure what to follow it up with though. I'd prefer to avoid sneaky pebbles if at all possible (simply because the people I play with would not play with me nearly as often if I used it).
