lets say im an artist named picasso. i draw one of my famous weird paintings. it's a picasso. its what a picasso is intended to be.
now, you come along and try to draw a picasso. it looks like what one of mine might look like, but it isnt a picasso - because i didnt draw it. i didnt conceive it, i didnt paint it. you did - after extrapolating what a picasso might look like.
now, lets say i start a painting but i die after half finishing it. you finish the painting. is it a picasso? no. it isnt. it isnt a picasso because youre just guessing. you dont have the proprietary imagination i do for creating my own art. all you can do is guess it (play the role) or go do what you like (which is you, not picasso).
now, lets say the roles were reversed. lets say you draw a painting, and die, and i finish it. is it a you or is it a picasso? its a you, because this time, i am not the original artist - im picasso, trying my best to do what you do based on what ive seen.
