So outside of ExtremeSpeed, are offensive priority moves really good? You know, Aqua Jet, Ice Shard, etc. I always thought they're crap like Quick Attack.

All of them are decent on the right Pokemon and set. The least good one is probably Quick Attack though cause not many Pokemon benefit from having a Normal type move. Ice Shard is the one I see the most often.

Priority is amazing iff:

High attack stat (very few if ayn are Special)
Super effective
STAB

Assuming one meets all three requirements, priority is amazing. Metagross couldn't do much good with Aqua Jet, for instance, even with a massive attack, unless it was to hit a fire-type.

Priority is fucking amazing. You don't typically sweep with it; only in special cases like with Scizor, Lucario, Dragontie and Azumarill. But if a pokemon has access to it, it nearly always tries to abuse it.

Priority is especially devastating when using a setup sweeper, because provided that the foes team is weak enough, you can then get an unhindered sweep off. It's a trump to speed, the most important stat, so it'll always have use.

Also, Scizor is #1 in OU, bro.

If outrage is bad because of the same reasons that petaldance is bad. You don't see people slapping on petaldance on their Pokémon, do you?

their base power is bad outside of Extremespeed and Sucker Punch, so usually they're only used on godawful slow pokemon that really need it (e.g. Shadow Sneak on Muk) or on pokemon using a Choice Band

most if not all priorities work well when used with the right pokemon. Aqua jet does great with azumarill while bullet punch helps metagross with its lack luster speed and mach punch does great on most guys that learn it. Bisharp's sucker punch is destructive as long as you play your cards right too. My team has relied a lot on priority in the past so I really like using it.

Mach Punch is used a lot on fighting types because they have the attack power to back it up.

If they get STAB from it, priority moves are good.
They're especially good if they have Technician (Scizor, Hitmontop, etc.)
