>>12831308>I will have you know I can play through the entire game, fighting every opponent and not die once before the E4. I'm sure a lot of people can. Not even with the aid of potions or the like. It's not that hard. I wasn't always this good, either, but the only thing I ever really lost to was gym leaders, and that was because I made stupid decisions.I am the same. That's exactly why I want it to change. The game is too easy. I want there to be more challenges than the rivals, leaders and Elite 4. I don't want it so that all trainers have difficult teams that take a lot of skill to beat, but I don't want them to be tedious "Use one move over and over to win" trainers either. The only trainers I've had troubles with were the dragon trainers and a couple of the ace trainers, and only because they took me off guard. They could at least give them more difficult movesets for their Pokemon.
>my suggestion is not to train so many pokemon, or at least only concentrate on a few pokes and rest be fillerThe whole point of battling with Pokemon is to bond with them and become better with them. And why the hell would anyone feel weaker with all of their Pokemon being around the same level? I'd feel weaker if I was just relying on a couple of over-leveled Pokemon. All it takes is one well placed crit, and then all the rest of your team is weak as shit.
>If you know what you're doing, then evo states or levels will no longer matterNot saying that they do most of the time, I'm just saying that there have been times where I went into a situation where I thought I was prepared enough based on the previous battles and still lost. And I know that it would have gone differently if my Pokemon had evolved while I was fighting. Example, the fight against Cyrus in the Distortion World. Did not expect his Gyarados to have Earthquake. But if my Dragonair (traded a Dratini from Pearl) had evolved after beating his other Pokemon I would have won.
