>>12841120"Aulotte" is a romanization Serebii made up based on literally nothing and is most likely wrong. The katakana spelling is オーロット (ōrotto); I can't think of any word where "aul" is pronounced like "ol" so I'm not sure where he got that from. It's more likely meant to be an "r" sound ("aur" as in "aura", or it could just be "or") As for the second part, it could be either "otto" or "ot/otte", but there's no way to know for sure without knowing what word it comes from.
Having said that,
>>12841006 pointed out that it could be derived from "ore" (オール ōru) and "grotto" (グロット gurotto), which would make the actual name "Orotto". Which you know, kind of does fit a cave-dwelling creature with gemstones for eyes. And since Sableye and Beheeyem are both based on aliens, it's not unusual that a Sableye evo might resemble Beheeyem slightly.
>>12841153I actually noticed that they both started with a long "o", but I don't think they're related. In Japanese, Elgyem is Ligray (little gray) and Beheeyem is Ohbem (big bug-eyed monster). Following the pattern, the "rotto" part would be the name of an alien. I can't think of any aliens named lot/lotte/lotto or rot/rotte/rotto, or anything else that would be appoximated by "rotto" (if anyone can think of one, speak up).
I still stand by the Sableye evo theory.
