Does the end of a generation make anyone else kind of sad? Every time, I can't help but think about how much I'll miss the previous gen.

The routes were just so short and linear. The Pokemon designs were great, but I just felt so bored after defeating the elite 4. It was still a good set of games, but Gen V is my least favorite of all the generations.

You can still play the games, but the games itself, along with the pokemon and characters are all pushed to the back of a shelf in the franchise. Sure they bring back old favorites/legends for cameos/events, but it is kinda sad that the rest are forgotten so easily.

Same. The games having involved plots was a double-edged sword. Made the first playthroughs interesting, but when you already know exactly what's going to happen, you just want the NPCs to stop talking already.

No, and besides that I just find it tedious to traverse through the routes again especially because so many of them use the same theme. Like, shit, GF, you composed a song for each town and city, you can compose a song for each route, right? I hope Gen 6 is more varied.

Nothing against the guy, but I think his character would've had more of an impact in the long run if he had left at the end of BW and never showed up again. I liked him less in BW2 and I feel like I'd like him less every time I saw him.

The guy that makes them does a good job, but it obviously won't have nearly the same not progression as this. Junichi would be out of his mind to release a piece of garbage like this. It's a good indicator of the type of instruments we'll see and anything new they might try.

As for the gen 5 hate, I don't actually hate it. It's just that starter designs are one of the coolest parts of the games for me, and these ones just seemed weaker than past gens. Out of all nine starters (including their evolutions), I only liked the designs for Dewott and Snivy. Past gens have at least two badass starters.

Gen VI is looking extremely promising, more so than Gen V ever did pre-release. I have faith it won't fall flat.

It's not that I hated it, but I felt no incentive to finish it. The story was slow, the characters weren't as good (aside from Roxie and Cloress or whatever his name was), and the fusion plot was retarded. Gameplay wise, the battling was great but it felt like they tried to fit so much shit in the game that it was overwhelming. And the fusion plot was stupid.

The plot was very disappointing compared to BW1. The best way I heard someone explain it was "BW2 was just too "Pokemon" of a plot". It was safe and did nothing special.
