It's more of a culture thing, as pretentious as that sounds. The point of showderp was the beat OU:The Team with mons that you normally wouldn't use, mostly bad pokemon. It wasn't just to spout memes, spam the chat, and just fuck around and suck dick at battling.

Morfent was not always this bad. He was not good, but he wasn't terrible. He's doing this on purpose now. And if you noticed, the only oldfags who have champed that stick around with some regularity are me, LC Guy and Morfent. So you can't really make the claim that "Well you think it's ok when the oldfags do it" because there aren't many oldfags left.
