And the bigger size ,akes the games look better and causes less stress on people with bigger hands than the regular one.
Also the XLs have better battery life and don't get marks on the top from being closed
And I bought a 3DS day one. The XLs made me have some regret

Not really brahhhhhh. Got a DS Lite and that's pretty much pushing it as far as I'm concerned. I don't wear cargo pants where-ever I go and the normal pockets on my jeans are just enough to comfortably carry my DS Lite. I'd hate to have bulging pockets just so I could have a slightly bigger screen. Also the XL is known to have slightly worse resolution because of the up-scaling. I'm not blind.

Battery life hardly matters to most people. How long do people play their portable console in one outing? Mine will last days on 1 charge. Bigger=/=better picture quality. I can get why some monster handed people would want an XL but for most people, I think the size and convenience of the 3DS is better.

I always make sure to take more than phone/wallet with me when I'm shopping for pants and go to try them on. Usually take my XL and a pack of smokes, too. if all that shit doesn't fit I don't buy them.

That's indeed the reason! I asked a designer friend once, she was making a pair of jeans for my birthday and giving it fake pockets. She asked what for, I have a purse for my stuff.

It drives me bad. When I go to the market the only thing I want to carry it's the keys, the wallet and my phone. I don't want a whole purse for that.

The XL is more comfortable to hold in general since it's more round, unless you have tiny babby hands and can't hold it.

You worry a little too much about looks. Your pockets are made to function. As long as it isn't bulging out, I don't mind so much. I don think most phones are too big. That's a matter of trying to make the screen as big as possible. At the same time they are too thin to be ergonomic. My phone has a slide away keyboard so it's got a comfortable form factor and isn't too big.

Actually, I give a damn about looks - I'm jeans+t-shirt kind of gal. But I draw my limit in bulges, and all handhelds so far look like really popping out of my legs or butt. I didn't have problems with my old cellphone, but now I changed to a big screen touch one, it goes in my bag too.
