The only time I played both was with Gen 2, but my brother found the Gold cartridge on the street and it couldn't save.

You did not miss out an anything, you played the serperior versions.

I've always played the "blue" versions more, despite having both. While White has the better exclusives, Black has the better story. Will be playing X or Y, however.

Sorry i can't hear you over the fact you don't get the keys til you beat Iris and that i traded one as soon as I started the game.~

Not to emntion the superior exclusives, and superior aesthetic differences (Reversal Mountain: Black 2 - Lel just a water cave, Reversal Mountain Whit 2 - HOLY SHIT IS'A FUCKING ACTIVE VULCANO!)
