Noobs cannot steal easy-to-use teams from there anymore, and so their true skill level gets exposed, while the better players, that were also influenced by smogon, started experimenting and using things that you'd never see before. Lots of unexplored potential is blooming right now on Showdown. It has breathed an entire new life into the game. I'm certainly going to enjoy it until it ends!
