yes, even DP, since each attack consists of
1. "X used Y!"
2. attack animation plays
3. we see the defending pokemon's reaction
4. there's another short pause
This happens four times every round
Not sure if this is the same as in XD, but your Shadow pokemon will also sometimes go into Hyper Mode, forcing you to waste two turns putting them back to normal (however, each time you do this will bring them much closer to purification)
You also get the
superior version of Miror B, the environments are all cool as fuck (though from the sounds of it, you've seen many of them).
I'd still recommend it if you enjoying XD, but be prepared for a more grindy experience.
