Collected 12 shinies over the years, all without chaining, shiny charm, or Masuda method. Of course I've bought every main series game the day it came out. Not that I'm proud of it.

This was a completely random encounter last night in Black. Took me about... an hour worth or random searching if I had to guess?
Not my first shiny, but my first random encounter shiny If blindly searching on Emerald, Soulsilver, and Black and the same time counts as random. It was my first time doing something like that though and it worked.
Anyway it's Level 24 of course, Male, Relaxed and has Swarm not sure how good that is.

Forgot to say, I was hunting for whatever in Black, Ekans or Hoppip in Soulsilver, and Ditto in Emerald.
Currently still looking for Ditto in Emerald at the moment (no sucess with Soulsilver yet); really hoping I don't find a shiny Whismur or Loudred though (though I'd still be content if I did).

I just found one, about a half an hour ago. Bred a shiny Vulpix. not even using the Masuda method. It's my first ever caught shiny too (outside of events/gifts), so that's pretty nifty.

Too bad about it's IVs and Ability, though.
