If it were just the first 2 points I'd have said like 3, but both of them showing up again at the same time like that in an official game presentation makes it much more likely

Unless the movie is showcasing an evolution, I'm not sure that Sableye being a character makes one more likely. Wouldn't that be reason for it to stay the same?

Think of it like this. Remember how Ash catches an Aipom at the end of the gen III anime before ambipom exists, and he ends up taking it with him to Sinnoh where it evolves?

Pokemon shown to have any sort of significance in the anime, especially one like Sableye which hasn't been relevant for a decade are almost always significant in the upcoming generation. This doesn't explicitly mean an evolution, but Sableye was picked for a specific reason over other pokemon to be in this movie.

Legendaries aside I think they will, including Smeargle and Ditto, even if it takes 4 more generations.

Most legendaries will have different formes too.

Basic balance isn't the same as competitive

Competitive pokemon hardly existed when gen II came out but they still tried to fix the balance issues because it made the game retarded
