If the PokeBeach leak is accurate it will be immune to dragon, weak to poison, weak to steel, while fire and psychic will resist it. Pokemon Smash heavily hinted at a poison weakness.

Also I firmly believe this is the gen we see a multi-hit and a priority fire move. hopefully as TMs for maximum distribution.

They're balanced because there is only one resist, meaning you remove steels, which are weak to fighting the second best offensive type in the game then dragons run free

If there are two resists to dragon without significant overlapping weaknesses thats all it takes

I don't get what the big deal is. Dark types are immune to psychic types and super effective against them, but there's nothing stopping psychic pokemon from just using moves that actually work, like focus blast. It'll be the exact same for dragons and faeries.

Both weak to fire? Dragons have fire blast and keep wrecking shit.

Fairy resists fire blast or hell, is just plain neutral to fire? Suddenly you can make a core that resists dragon that dragons cant defeat simply with their coverage moves.

it still makes dragons significantly more balanced than they are right now. with fairies dragons are forced to use shitty steel and poison attacks AND at the same time need fire/ground to hit steels. it's going to be rough for them

We need to wait and see how relevant the fairy type is even going to be before worrying about things like this. We have no idea how powerful the new fairy pokemon are going to be. As of right now, all of the old pokemon confirmed to be getting fairy as a secondary typing are almost never used.

that's even worse, if you want high special attack you have to sacrifice attack EVs, so EQ and outrage will be shit

hydro pump salamence is just bad. I actually think latios' surf does around the same damage and that thing certainly doesn't rip through steels

Ferrothorn is the only steel it doesn't break, but fire blast rarely does either because ferrothorn is often coupled with rain
