My neighbours aren't friends with me any more, my Primary School crush rejected me when I was 15 and I finally confessed my feelings, and I see my high school friends less and less, but Pokemon will always remain as the thing that brought us together.

The worst part is I really did bring this upon myself, and I have no idea why I do it really. I mean I don't always want to talk to my friends all the time, or even often, but it's not like I don't want to talk to them, usually. But it seems I usually stop calling people as I don't want to be friends with them anymore, or as I realize I don't always have enough to talk about with them, or just feel awkward talking to them even if I enjoy their presence. Honestly how I act about it makes little sense and it's hard to explain why I do, if that's even why.
I wouldn't have been able to stay in touch with the foster kid anyway, but... jeez, I should've stayed in touch with that girl, even if all I could talk about with her was Pokemon.
Pic was sorta related, One of the Pokemon of hers I still have is a Treecko and I finally decided to transfer it to Black 2 for data (currently Grovyle)
But I suppose on the bright side I have a gold flag base in Diamond and a lot of Pokemon I traded

Get Gen 2 for christmas the year that came out, remember sitting there on xmas day and playing the crap out of Gold. Fuck losing all those mons when my battery died was gutting, never got around to fixing Gold because it felt like replacing old memories.

Get given Gen 3 when that comes out, specifically save up enough money to buy me a GBA, and when you're 12 thats a lot of money, take it to school to play on the bus, some dick steals my games and I gave up on pokemon for years after that.

Gen 4 comes out and I'm in High School and haven't paid attention since R/S, see a cheap with FR and Diamond for sale, buy them and enjoy the shit out of them, completely reinvigorated my interest in Pokemon, beat both and buy all the rest of Gen 4

Gn 5 comes around and I get White but thought it wasn't the best, beat it and kept playing HGSS, then BW2 come out and they were so much more fun than the first ones, got B2, then one of my High School friends sees me playing, was quite shocked how different it was compared to when he played my Silver years ago, finally managed to get him back into it, and his plder brother, set them up with my HGSS to compete against each other while I sit back and offer tips and shit, haven't felt this amped about Pokemon in years.
