Tropius is exactly what Meganium should have been. It has an actual unique aesthetic, it has an actual theme, it has an interesting typing, it's the same size, it's a grass dinosaur, it's everything Meganium needed to actually be good.

The Chikorita line should have been something like Chikorita -> Different Pokemon whose color scheme grows darker rather than lighter -> Tropius.

You cannot deny this.
