I've been with my family all week for fourth of july, been bored as hell pretty much the entire time. I wanted to get out of the house so I went with my nana to a nail salon. I was chilling in the seats waiting for her to finish up whatever she was doing, and I couldn't help but notice one of the nail salon workers had brought in his son for the day.

The boy was sitting in the corner with a phone, listening to the original pokémon theme song over and over again and singing his heart out. I knew in an instant, 'damn, that's a great kid.'

So I went over to the boy, he looked like he was 7 or 8, and I asked if he liked pokémon. He replied, "yea! I love pokemon!" and he showed me the video he was watching. I happened to have an Elekid charm on my phone at the time, and started unstrapping it from my phone. I told him, "yea, I love pokémon too" and I handed him the little Elekid.
He looked up at me with the biggest smile on his face.

Made me want to tear up a bit, he's going to be a great kid.
