Oh wait, no that's not the case. Xavier and Yvonne are used as placeholders for the player in promotional material so people can distinguish them more easily from your friend (just how they are called エックス and ワイ in Japanese videos and screenshots); this has been going on for years and none of these names end with canon value.
People just become too attached to shit like Xavier, Yvonne, Blair and Whitlea. Eventually though, they all fall into obscurity in favor of the actual canon names.
