So I'm playing Explorers Of Sky for the first time, this is also my first mystery dungeon game, the test gave me torchick and I chose piplup as my bro.

I'm on the second dungeon and everything is wrecking us, barely making it through alive. PP for our moves doesn't last long enough for more than 3 floors and the default attack is useless.

Do things get easier? Do my guys ever evolve? pls halp I'm new to non-main games.

How are you getting wrecked on the second dungeon? Seriously I'd like to know, what's killing you?
Also, no, things get much more difficult and you can evolve only after the post-post game story.

Fucking armies of starly spamming 10-15s, have no pp for moves, best I can hit is 5-10.

Just play more carefully. I assume your attacks are scratch and ember and piplup know tackle and bubble. try to use a move first and then use the neutral attack, should be enough to faint them.
Though I was a Shinx (with Bulbasaur) and spark made everything easier.

I haven't had too much trouble with geodude, since bubble 1 hit KOs them.

You're probably just rushing straight into enemies. Learn to manage your tile spaces so you always attack first, use ranged items whenever you can and if you feel slightly like you might die either move behind your partner or eat an oran berry.

Well, challanging adventure awaits you there. That's because there's lot of water pokemons and earthquake/earth power are room wide moves. When I played this game first time on emulator, I had Shinx + Vulpix team. Game was kind of easy thanks to room wide Discharge and Vulpix having Quick Attack (QA has 2 tile range which means that partner can attack enemy while beeing behind you). Then, when I bought it, I intentionally have chosen Turtwig as starter because Torterra probably is my favourite. Vulpix as partner again ofc. If you also play on DS, don't hesitate to ask for rescues etc here on board.
When you'll play a bit, you'll discover really challenging dungeons like Zero Isle or Destiny Tower ones. The hardest ones have 100 floors and lot of restrictions like temporary dropping your lvl to 1 or allowing only certain amount of pkemon or items to enter.
I'll give you little advice: seek for missions that reward you with eggs. THatched pokemons have lvl 1 but they have egg moves which might come in handy. Also don't quit playing EoS too soon. Storyline get's better and better. Also like in almost every pokemon game, credits don't mean end of the game. There's lot of post ending content.

It'll automaticilly land in chansey daycare. Then you just wait few in-game days, check, talk to chansey and it hatches. My goal is to get all pokemons, except legendaries, from eggs. I'm too busy breeding my team in HG and commanding army in Advance Wars right now though.

I played Explorers of Time

I got a Pikachu/Charmander team. Alright I though. Then suddenly its nothing but ground/water and ground/rocks through the whole fucking game. My attacks missed 1/4 times. And I had probably like a 1/15 chance of getting into a Monster House. It was either retard hard, or a joke and no problem until a boss.
Always almost impossible boss that I had to grind forever against. It wasn't until I was a high enough level to Spam Agility, discharge, and flamethrower that I could beat the game.
The storyline was kinda dumb and I saw the plot twist half the game away and was sorta shocked that was all they really had up their sleeves. I also hated that the game play never changed and was pretty monotonous.

I really do want to like the game though. The idea of playing as a Pokemon seemed cute.

There is no variety in enemies, a poor selection to start with, uninteresting characters and even more repetitive boring gameplay than grinding in the previous games

I can't believe they fucked up this bad.
