I feel indifferent. I guess the major complains is that it's literally a sword. I guess they expected to look more cartoony like the Rotom formes.

I don't think the main issue people have with it is that it's based on a sword, but that it barely even looks like a living (well, undead I guess) creature. I mean, it really is just a sword with an eye and a ghostly hand.

I don't like it. Granted i dislike objecject based Pokémon (Sigilyph and Metagross are exceptions), but this is thing is not appealing to me and looks boring.

Personally I prefer when objects are fused with animals. Like Donphan. He's inspired by a tire, but instead of being a literal tire with googly eyes, it has the elephant mixed in which results in a very clever design IMO.

I didn't even recognize as a Pokémon until I saw the logo behind it

I like it, and it's typing justifies it's look pretty well I'd say. A demonic Ghost sword that wields itself? That's pretty damn cool to me. I'm really interested in hearing the dex entry about this thing. It also heavily reminds me of a shushu so I'm probably gonna name mine after one.

I don't like it. It's a literal sword. They should have done something like the Remoraid line.
Remoraid is a gun yet it doesn't look like one. Octillery is a turret/cannon yet doesn't look like one either.

This pokemon is literally a sword because, well, it IS a sword. It's an object possessed by a ghost. It's SUPPOSED to be an object, but animated by a spirit (or in this case, an ancient soul).

Makes sense to me, and looks nice.

It looks too artificial, for lack of a better word. They should have made a ghost sword poke made of ectoplasm instead of it being a literal sword.

You just don't seem to lack artificial-looking object based designs. That's fine for people to have preferences, but it's no reason for people to really get mad. This isn't new in Pokemon. It isn't controversial. It isn't as big a deal as the loud ones are making it.
