this is literally just a sword though. This is dragon quest style monster. I dont mind the design but moving weapons are NOT fucking Pokemon.

Maybe it changes to a shield Pokemon if you give it a special shield item. Who knows? People should appreciate Pokemon for Pokemon, and not for what they're design is based on.

We dont know yet, because we dont have the pokedex entry or more explanation.

And my point is that, when unsheathed, it looks like just a sword, it doesnt have any extra things on its design that would make it look like a monster. sheathed would look much better, although still shitty.

Vannilite and Chandelure are not that way, Ice cream cones and chandeliers do not exactly look like that.
This new mon, on the contrary, just has a circle that's supposed to be its face and doesnt even look like a face.
