Absol was something interesting in Gen 3, ignored in 4, and became a staple of my team in Gen 5 (Outside of using the same pokemon everyone else does online, of course).
It's a simple design, has a good move pool, and is the only dark type that isn't edgy as fuck, sword head excluded.
