As for the design I'll admit its just a sword and its design is plain, but so is pic related.

I don't like Vanilluxe or any of those because it's just a fucking ice cream cone. That supposedly leaked Watermelon pokemon is fucking stupid too because it's just a slice of watermelon.
However, the absolute worst design that has ever been done and will never be topped is Mr. Fucking Mime. It's literally just a person. Like, jesus christ. Not even all the abysmal shit we got in Gen 4 and Gen 3 are as bad as Mr. Mime. Oh, and don't even get me started on that name.

Just before fairy type was confirmed, there was a thread on /vp/ about creating your own type.
Somebody wrote up a pretty detailed entry for 'blade' type which turned out to be the most popular in the thread.
Several people then talked about how cool a sword/ blade pokemon would be. Steel/Ghost was even suggested.
